BoaWrapz

This project was completed during my time at 10XBeta. BoaWrapz came to us with the concept of a workout glove that used compressed air to adjust the force of the wrist support rather than the traditional ace bandage, or velcro strap. This would let the wearer set an ideal pressure and have it saved in the glove. We designed and built a working model for them using a custom PCB and miniature pumps and valves most commonly found in blood pressure cuffs. I was responsible for the mechanical design, patterning and fabricating the prototype. Custom air bladders were made with PU backed fabric. Seam sealing was used where possible.
